Job description: An amazing permanent opportunity has just become available for a Nurse to work within a Private specialist neurobehavioural rehabilitation service near Colchester!

Salary per annum: £29,745.66 pa

Hours and length of contract:
*Full time permanent position
*75 hours over a 2-week rota pattern
*Long days: 07.30 - 19.45
*Nights: 19.30 - 07.45
*Earlies: 07.30 - 16.15
*Lates: 13.00 - 19.45
*Service operates 24/7

Daily Duties:
The service consists of 3 main units, which total 24 beds, and specialising in neurobehavioural rehabilitation. And the main aim of the service is to enable patients to have increased opportunities for choice, autonomy, and empowerment over their own life and to obtain the optimum level of independence possible.

You will work as part of the nursing team to assess, plan and deliver individual care to service users with complex neurological needs following an acquired brain injury (ABI), or traumatic brain injury (TBI) of which can include cognitive, behavioural and emotional changes.

Evidence-based treatments include:
*Risk management
*Positive behaviour support plan
*Psychiatric interventions
*Cognitive strategies and compensatory aids
*Physical health management plans
Responsibilities will include:
*Work as a Senior Nurse to assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, a structured approach to nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes
*Implement, monitor and evaluate therapeutic interventions within an overall care programme
*Supervising team members and contributing to their overall CPD, mandatory training and appraisal process recognising the skills required across the team
*Monitor and review Nursing Care plans

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared for the position advertised and have recent experience within the field.
