Job description: PERMANENT position available for Mental Health Nurses (RMN) and General Nurses (RGN) to work night shifts within a private care home within Diss for older people.

Salary (wage is paid hourly):
*Weekdays: £16ph
*Weekends: £17ph
*Enhancement for bank holidays

Hours and length of contract:
*Permanent position
*3 Night shifts per week
*20:00 - 08:00 (12 hour paid shift)

Daily Duties:
You will be working within an 18th Century care home which has recently been extended and provides both respite care and long term care for up to 42 adults. The beautiful home is within the Norfolk countryside, across three acres of land and includes a small lake.
The home provides 24 hour nursing care and has achieved a five tick rating for its standard of care by the Commission and the home also offers short breaks for people looking for a period of convalescence following an illness, after a stay in hospital or if the resident or carer needs a short break.
You will be promoting and maintaining the highest standards of care to residents to help maximise their life in a way that respects their privacy and dignity, while promoting independence and ensuring equality and diversity. Working as part of the nursing team you will act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the home, along with supervising other staff within the home.

You will assess and evaluate the needs of each individual to plan and implement comprehensive programs of care to manage risk, identifying and reporting any unsafe practice or areas of concern.

You will maintain standards of documentation and record keeping and ensure the correct ordering, storing, administration and monitoring of medication.

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared for the position advertised and have recent experience within the field.
