Job description: We are looking for Band 6 Emotional Wellbeing Practitioners for a fantastic opportunity to join a new specialist Mental Health service based in Suffolk, within the NHS.

Applicant must drive and have access to a car.

Mental health professional required Community psychiatric nurses, mental health practitioners OR mental health occupational therapists.

Temporary pay rate:
*Days £24ph
*Nights & Saturdays £30ph
*Sunday & Bank Holidays £36ph

Hours and length of contract:
*Hours to be negotiated
*The service operates Monday - Friday 08:00-20:00
*Initial 3 month contract (likelihood of extension)
*The manager requires the position to be filled ASAP

Daily Duties:
The service provides assessment and intervention for young people and their families within the community working from an office base and clinic setting and you will be working within the child and family team (0-14) and youth (14-25) team.

Service users are self-referred or have been referred by a GP or other professional and your role will be to support the young people over the phone, ensuring that all enquiries receive a high level of support and guidance.

The role requires:
*therapeutic skills and the ability to maintain a positive working relationship, primarily over the telephone, with children and young people aged 0-25, as well as parents, carers and professionals, who access the service
*expertise in mental health prevention and promotion, early identification of needs, early intervention and evidence-based packages of support
*experience of working with other agencies to intervene effectively where there are concerns about safeguarding, parenting capacity, adult mental health, alcohol or substance misuse, domestic abuse, and child abuse

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared and have previous experience in the field.
