Job description: An interesting role has come up today for a Multi Trade Scheduler with an in depth knowledge of building maintenance.
This role is ideal for a trades person that has worked both on the tools and has experience of back office processes like scheduling rotas and processing invoices.
The post.
You will schedule large or more complex pieces of work for the Building Surveyor and also carry out the more straightforward, routine maintenance tasks yourself.

Be responsible for processing orders and invoices on the current Handy Van and Finance Systems and will act as the link officer with other teams within the Council.

Estimating the type of equipment/resource needed and quoting for jobs. assist the Building Surveyor in developing and shaping the provision of the Handy Van buildings maintenance service, for example by helping to design flyers, and attending events with the Building Surveyor, to market the service to the public.

Make day to day decisions associated with operational tasks such as scheduling and prioritization of ad-hoc maintenance work to gain maximum effectiveness and efficiency for the Handy Van service.

support the wider work of the Street Lighting and Building Maintenance Team by placing and processing orders against existing contracts and frameworks, maintaining records and databases.

Handle enquiries and identifying solutions and opportunities to meet customer requirements.

To be considered for this post you will need.
*-Level 3 NVQ or Craft qualification in a relevant trade.
*-In-depth knowledge and experience of building maintenance, and knowledge of street lighting systems and wider departmental services.
*Experience and/or knowledge of scheduling work, and preparing measurements and quantities to support quotes and estimates.
