Job description: We currently require a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in the Birmingham area for a period of 37.5 hours per week, 08:30-16:30 over 3 months with a possibility of extending.

Duties:

-To provide a specialist occupational therapy service to patients recently diagnosed with a neurological condition in a range of community settings using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge.

-To be a specialist resource of information for health and social care staff, patients, families, carers and external agencies who may require advice and support and guidance in the management of stroke.

-To transfer individual patients' on-going care to other agencies as appropriate and ensure that the service provided is conducted in a professional, efficient and effective way.
To meet the service specification objectives and key performance indicators as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a high quality service.

This role is available immediately for the right candidate.
