Occupational Therapist - Prison Cleared

Job description: Service Care Solutions are currently looking for a HCPC Prison Cleared Occupational Therapist for full time work. The prison is based in Surrey and will be a key role within the healthcare sector of the prison.

Day to day roles and responsibilities:
You will be working independently as an Occupational Therapist with inmates with challenging needs, those who are isolated and those who are preparing for release. You will work alongside the Lead OT to develop and deliver a comprehensive OT service within the inpatient unit. You will be expected to apply a high level of understanding regarding mental and physical health conditions; providing training and advice on lifestyle changes and adaptations, patient assessments and analysis, apply clinical knowledge skills when working with patients, plan, implement and review individually tailored programmes of intervention for individuals and in groups, ensure all care plans reflect a patients recovery goals, setting aims and objectives in line with OT and demonstrating how effective they are, supporting patients with development of 'Health and wellbeing plans', communicate with empathy and understanding towards patients, develop effective and trusting relationships with patients, maintain patients records and assessment documents, be up to date on all current evidence based practice, and comply and implement relevant national policy legislation and guidance.

The pay rates for the position are:
£25-£28ph negotiable depending on experience
