Job description: I am Currently recruiting for an Office 365 lead to work in Somerset for an initial 3 month contract.

Key Accountabilities:

The individual assignment of the job may relate to all or any of the Key Accountabilities below:

Candidates will provide advice and analysis to senior colleagues to support the determination of my clients strategy and policy in relation to a specialist professional activity.

Initiate, develop, manage and deliver a wide range of professional engineering, scientific, technical and IT projects and ensures that the statutory/regulatory requirements of my client, Schools and the relevant professional disciplines are met.

Undertake investigations into technical/operational/contractual issues of Office 365 advising senior colleagues and partner agencies on the outcomes/implications and of any action taken or recommend options for change/improvement. Provide reports as required to enable my client or Service to respond to complex complaints or ombudsman enquiries or to initiate enforcement action as directed by senior colleagues.

Conduct consultations and negotiations with a broad range of stake holders in relation to the development and operation of policy initiatives, projects and/or review exercises.

Provide advice and guidance to Managers and Senior Colleagues and, where appropriate, partner agencies, contractors, customers etc. in dealing with sensitive/contentious professional matters or other issues escalated to the professional level.

Develop and evaluate new processes, techniques, IT systems and equipment and establish new methods and procedures in line with Council/Government policy, professional discipline standards guidance from accreditation bodies and regulatory requirements.

Support senior colleagues in the design, delivery and review of service plans/systems/work programmes advising on the alignment of the plans/programmes to the County Plan and the provision of IT based management information and monitoring tools to facilitate the planning and evaluation of services, including managing support of the services.

Supervise the effective operation of a range of external contracts involving investigation, contractor/supplier, management and quality assessment. Recommend to the Service Manager where improvements need to be made in contract performance or future contract specification.

Candidates may be required to manage a team of engineers and/or technicians ensuring that the team are adequately skilled to deliver the service plan and where required to develop and provide teaching and learning resources (including web-based systems), solutions and guidance for use by others in achieving Government and County Plan targets and service level agreements with customers.
