Job description: My client, a local authority based in Bedfordshire is looking for a Housing/Maintenance Operations Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency contract and the successful candidate will have experience of understanding large complex construction projects, experience managing multiple maintenance teams and practical experience in a similar role.

The main purpose of the role is to lead the client's repairs and maintenance service in undertaking works on the client's property portfolio.

The main accountabilities of the role are as follows;

Ensure excellent customer service and delivery to required standards, timescales and other performance targets are met.
Continue to develop a repairs and maintenance service which contributes significantly to the successful delivery of the client's objectives and priorities.
Contribute to the formulation and delivery of service or corporate service strategies and operational plans including the Asset Management Strategy, Repairs and Maintenance Strategy, Estates & Facilities Annual Operational Plan, Repairs and maintenance improvement plans, Housing improvement plan, Housing business plan
Manage the stores and staff
Be responsible for the gas contract

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant experience in a similar role, have a full UK driving licence, experience controlling complex and major budgets along with a technical understanding of construction/building compliance.
