Job description: I am currently recruiting for a part time administrator to work in Cardiff.

This role is initially for 5 months and does fall inside IR35.

The role is part time and candidates will be working weekends only. Working times are between AM - 10am start and finishing from PM - 7.30pm. The working pattern is 2 weekends in 3 on a rota basis.

Candidates applying must be able to speak Welsh and also have a clean, valid driving to be considered for the role as there may be travel between different locations.

Job Purpose:
To carry out a range of duties to ensure that a comprehensive, effective and high quality bereavement service is provided for the general public during weekends and Bank Holidays.

To operate a computerised booking service for funeral directors.

To open, patrol and lock cemeteries at designated opening/closing times

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To open, patrol and close cemeteries in accordance with County Council procedures.

2. To assist members of the public with locating graves and memorials with the use of
cemetery plans, manual and computer records.

3. To operate a computer operated booking service and liaise with funeral directors, members of the clergy and the general public on matters relating to Bereavement
Services.

4. Co-ordinating the 'Out of hours' burial service in accordance with the issued working
instructions.

5. To assist visitors in using the Heritage trails at Cathays cemetery.

6. To provide administrative support as required.

7. To attend funerals at all divisional cemeteries as required.

8. To ensure a quality bereavement service to all visitors at the cemetery.

9. To assist members of the public with general enquiries relating to the cemetery and
Bereavement Services.

10. To participate actively in supporting the principles and practice of equality of
opportunity as laid down in the organisation's Equal Opportunities Policy.

11. To be responsible for your own Health and Safety and observe all regulations in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act.
