Job description: I am currently recruiting for a Floating Sheltered Scheme Co-ordinator based in Theale / Reading.

This is a permanent position working 25 hours a week.

The main purpose of the role is to deliver excellent scheme and facilities management to sheltered housing customers and ensure our client leads in customer excellence.

Some of your key accountabilities will include :

Ensuring that the sheltered housing scheme is well run and that the building is safe and secure for residents
Provide basic tenancy advice and services to customers signposting to relevant individuals where necessary for resolution
Referring residents to specialist agencies for additional support where there is a well-being concern
Facilitate letting our empty homes by arranging and supervising viewings
Lead on health and safety matters within the scheme
Ensuring repairs and faults are quickly remedied
Ensuring a range of contractors deliver a high standard
Work with internal and external colleagues with regards to the appropriate delivery of volunteer support and wellbeing services
Supervising and overseeing cleaning and laundry staff and services as appropriate

Who our client is looking for :

Our client is looking for organised, caring people who are committed to supporting older people with a range of needs who live in a sheltered housing environment.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, organiser and team player with good administration skills; ideally you should have experience of coordinating and providing customer focused services within a housing or related community setting. It is an essential that you have a strong understanding of the diverse needs of the elderly.

You will have daily contact with residents, contractors, colleagues and partners to coordinate and deliver customer focused services. This will include inspecting properties, monitoring health and safety, supporting tenancies and assisting with lettings.

You will also have a big part to play in promoting resident involvement projects, as well as tackle loneliness and isolation and ensuring the scheme is well maintained and a safe place to live.
