PERMANENT - Revenues & Benefits Officer, Lewisham (PART TIME)

Job description: I am currently recruiting for a permanent Revenues and Benefits Officer based in Lewisham on a part time basis. You will be working 22.5 hours a week over 3 days. The days worked will be discussed at interview stage and can be flexible.

We are looking for a candidate that has worked as a Revenues, Benefits or Welfare Officer for a minimum of 2 years. It is essential to have this length of experience and also have extensive experience on the welfare side. You must have experience of PIPs and ESA to be considered for this role.

Salary range of £24,000 - £30,000 pro rata.

Some of your duties will include -

* To complete and administer all benefits related applications such as Disability Living Allowance (DLA)/Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) and Housing Benefit (HB).
* To ensure maximum tier of entitlement is obtained for tenants from the DLA/PIP and DWP.
* To manage all matters and queries with the Benefits Agencies or any other funding agencies such as changes in circumstances.
* To assist with tenant mandatory reconsiderations and tribunals in preparation for submission to the DWP and HM Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS) respectively.
* To manage and maintain tenant invoicing, ensuring that the correct amounts are being received.
* To produce client statements and other reports for tenants and accommodation managers.
* To maintain and keep up to date company databases for all benefits related matters.
* To liaise with accommodation managers and line managers regarding new referrals and process Placement Packs as per company policy and procedure.
