Job description: I am currently recruiting for a permanent Scheme Officer based in Southampton. The position is 35 hours a week working Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. The salary is £20,185.

You will be covering two schemes - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You must have access to a vehicle for work as the schemes are based 20 - 30 minutes apart.

The role is working within the Resident Services Department providing an Intensive Housing Management Service to residents within your scheme.

Your key duties will include :

* Welfare checks,
* Managing the communal parts of the building - (eg communal cleaning is done etc)
* Linking residents in with the support they require - external support providers
* Working with sheltered housing
* Follow safeguarding procedures
* Estate inspections - monitoring quality of building and repairs - ensure records are updated
* Attend monthly team meeting in Chichester
* Ability to work autonomously - Manager will come about once a month
* Can work with objectives without constant supervision
* Support is only a phone call away
* Right skills set /personality to have challenging conversations
* Liaise with other departments - surveyors contractors
* Potential for another site in a years' time
* Risk assessments - understating the residents and their lifestyles (once a annually) - hoarders/smokers

The ideal candidate will have / be :

* Understanding of social housing ideally within similar intensive housing (desirable)
* Team player, able to work independently
* Excellent customer facing skills
* Internal and external stakeholder management skills
* Resilient - dealing 60 residents
