Job description: My client, a local authority in Central London, is looking for a Planning Assistant to join their team. It is a full time ongoing contract with the successful candidate having some type of experience with Develop Management in a local authority setting.

The main purpose of the role is to take personal responsibility for various administrative tasks as required, including logging of correspondence, validation of applications and assisting the Planning Officer in any relevant tasks.

Other duties include:

1.Excellence in customer care and understanding of the role of local government in supporting residents through high quality services.
2.Logging correspondence, handling of the appeals administrative process and tasks relating to banking and invoicing.
3.Ensure that customers receive a high level of customer service.
4.To seek to ensure that all reports, correspondence, written and telephone enquiries and complaints are dealt with within target response times and that quality and content meet required standards.
