Job description: I am recruiting for an experienced Service Manager with experience in Policy and Partnerships to join the Children Schools and Families Department in Merton immediately.

- This role is offering a rate of £350 per day.

The primary purpose of this role is to:
*Act as the key interface with the council's strategic partners with the aim of developing and overseeing effective multi-agency processes to improve the lives of all Merton children and their families
*Take lead responsibility for co-ordinating the work of Merton's Safeguarding Children Partnership as well as Children's Trust Board; ensuring that the MSCP meets its statutory responsibilities and advising the Independent Chair and DCS on business risks.
*Be responsible for Policy Officers, Administrators and Training Officers
*Provide clear leadership and direction for a team of policy officers, administrator/s and Training Officer
*Responsible for maintaining and developing local multi-agency safeguarding policies, procedures and protocols are reviewed, drafted and up-to-date, in conjunction with and complementing any regional or national initiatives; commissioning appropriate input from senior specialists in Partner agencies.


What do you need to apply?
-Qualified to degree level in a relevant field such as social sciences, economics or politics with significant experience of strategic and policy development within public or voluntary sector.
-Experience of working in local government contexts advantageous
-Experience of improving services to achieve positive outcomes for children and their families
