Job description: Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Polygraph Examiner to be based in Penrith, Cumbria.

The responsibility of the post holder will be to represent Cumbria Constabulary as an expert in Polygraph Examinations, whilst undertaking a range of duties to provide an efficient and effective Polygraph service.

Main responsibilities:
-To act as a subject matter expert to articulate polygraph results and provide specialist / technical / advice to all levels of police officers / staff and associated law enforcement and Public Protection agencies in relation to polygraph related matters.

-To design and create polygraph documentation in conjunction with the National Polygraph Practitioners Group and the National Polygraph Working Group.

-To source and maintain appropriate testing locations that meet the American Polygraph Associations Standards of Practice whilst providing interested parties with suitable viewing/monitoring facilities.

-To collate polygraph referrals, managing and organising examinees to attend suitable locations for testing purposes.

-To accurately assess examinee suitability for the examination procedure around mental and physical capacity, maintaining expected ethical and professional standards.

Essential Criteria:
-Have attended or prepared to attend and successfully pass an American Polygraph Association accredited training course and hold a Polygraph Examiners diploma.

-In order to conduct post- conviction sex offender testing must have completed a PCSOT (Post conviction sex offender testing) training course or prepared to attend and successfully pass such a course.

-PIP level 2 accredited investigator.

-Advanced knowledge and understanding of the science/principles of the psycho-physiological responses recorded during polygraph examinations. Also to have knowledge and interpretation of law and procedures relating to the use of polygraph in the UK.

A full clean driving license is required for the role, along with your own transport.

As this is an ex-officer role, candidates must have experience with a UK force to be considered.
