Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for Programme and Portfolio Planner to join a police force in Manchester on a long term full time basis.

The role will be working along side Transformation and Change Function to support large complex programmes of work to define and deliver against our new Plan on a Page Improvement Portfolio.

Previous experience of Programme/Portfolio planning in a complex environment is essential for this role as you will work with project teams and stakeholders across the force to develop plans, from an overarching Plan on a Page, to detailed project schedules.

The Planner will have ownership of plans, ensuring key controls and measures are in place to drive timely and appropriate decision making. You will provide oversight, guidance and support to project and programme managers on comprehensive plan development and plan management in line with best practice standards, ensuring appropriate governance is effectively in place and plans are captured in a consistent manner across the portfolio.

Successful applicants will be able to quickly grasp an understanding of complex operational policing, business support and IT programmes. They will be able to facilitate scoping and planning workshops with senior stakeholders. Strong analytical reporting skills are a must, as is experience in analysing project plans, dependency management, baseline management and resource usage across a change portfolio.
