Job description: Practice Manager, Schools and Community Centre

I am looking for a Practice Manager to work in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex. This is for a 3-month rolling contract.

The vacancy is full time (35 hours) and to start ASAP!

The hourly rate is negotiable depending upon experience

About the role:
*The centre is an Edwardian House that sits on a 7 acre site surrounded by the picturesque Essex countryside.
*The centre has been owned by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets since 1990 and welcomes schools and community groups from the Borough throughout the year. To improve profitability it has ambitions to work with other groups of Tower Hamlets children, local and London schools.
*The centre provides fun outdoor activities in a warm and welcoming environment in which visitors can feel safe and secure.
*Due to recent absence of the Head of Centre the centre requires day to leadership, organisation and person capable of maintaining work on current development planning. The Centre has one other full time teacher who works with visiting staff who lead sessions on a supply basis and housekeeping staff. The person appointed would need to support these staff over the period of the absence.
*School parties visit the centre, typically for 1 week and the most popular age range is 9-11 years olds - years 5 - 6. The centre is well booked with few vacancies until the end of the school year. The post holder will need to link with all bookings to meet the needs of the visiting schools during their stay.

To apply for this role you will need:
*teaching, youth work or outdoor leadership qualification
*Enhanced DBS
*at least 3 years' experience and evidence of leading a team
