Job description: Prison Nurse - Permanent

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a nurse to work permanently within a prison in Manchester.
The role is based within the Substance misuse team and you will be required to:
* Ensure a high standard of clinical care for patients under your management and support other members of the team to do likewise.
* To undertake full clinical assessments and manage the health needs, planning, delivery and evaluation of care
* Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with substance misuse issues.
* Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug- and non drug-based treatment methods into a recovery plan via a regular audit cycle.

The role is 35 hours weekly (including weekends) and will be done on a rota basis

Please note - this role will be subject to a Prison Vetting Check

Person Specification:
* Ability to demonstrate experience of planning and leading a change process in a clinical setting
* Full NMC Registration
* Ability to use SystmOne and/or electronic clinical recording system
* 1 years post registration experience in nursing (Substance Misuse desirable)
