Job description: Private Rent Sector Officer, Manchester City Centre
The homelessness services team based in Manchester City centre are looking to recruit a Private Rent Sector Officer, to work with families and single households who are already, or whom are at risk of, becoming homeless. The Private Rented Sector Team support clients to find a Private Rented Tenancy Greater Manchester wide.


The Role
-Inspect the property and provide tenancy related advice and support working together with the household to help them maintain an existing tenancy or support the household to move on from temporary accommodation
-Carry out assessments to determine service user's needs and provide appropriate support to ensure that outcomes are achieved
-Work with partner agencies and stakeholders
-Provide intensive support for customers with complex support needs including agreeing targets and work towards longer term solutions and aspirations
-Assist customers to identify realistic goals and ensure achievement of identified targets
-Flexible and personalised approach when working with service users
-Maintain accurate, up to date records and collect data
-May require management duties

The Candidate
To be considered for the role it is required that you have experience working within homelessness in the past, have good communication, planning, problems solving and decision making skills.

The Contract
This is a 8 week contract starting on the 28th November, 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
