Job description: Job title - Procurement Officer
Location - East Birmingham (B37)
Contract - 12 Months FTC
Salary - £28,785 - £35,934
Hours - 37 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP

To be responsible for the procurement of a range of contracts to support the delivery of Business and Procurement Plans. To provide support to the Executive Director of Procurement and Project Managers to undertake annual contract performance reviews ensuring improvements in service delivery, efficiency, performance targets and value for money. To provide training and support to managers across the company in the application of procurement policies and procedures

Essential Criteria
*5 years of experience in the procurement industry, or a related field, including the preparation of contracts and documents and Forms of Tender.
*Experience of procuring small, medium and large-scale contracts.
*Experience of using and amending standard contract forms, such as the JCT Minor Works and Measured Term Contracts, the NEC Suite and Partnering Contracts.
*Experience of managing procurement projects in defined programmes and achieving deadlines
*Knowledge of current procurement legislation, and Forms of Contract.
*Knowledge of the fundamental contractual requirements when obtaining quotations and tenders.
*An appreciation of the importance of robust performance management in the public service
*Knowledge of national and EU procurement legislation and directives
