Job description: Are you experienced working within Resettlement?

Then we might be looking for you!

We are currently looking for a candidate with prior resettlement experience to join ARK Resettlement Services as a Project Coordinator on a full-time basis in North London. The role is a 1 year Fixed Term contract, with the possibility of extension, and has been funded by the National Lottery.
As a project coordinator for ARK's Community Outreach Transition Project, you will be expected to work closely with the resettlement team, referral coordinators in partnership agencies and travel to prisons and probation to generate more referrals. You will be expected to oversee all elements involved in resettlement, such as accommodation, health and well-being, employment needs and financial stability are met, ensuring service users are able to develop positive social networks and reintegrate into the community. In overviewing resettlement, you will also provide guidance to the Community Outreach Transition Project team, as well as leading the development and maintenance of effective partnerships with prisons, probation and other organisations. You will also be expected to provide progress reports and updates to the Senior Management Team.

To be successful in your application, you must have a relevant qualification (at least NVQ L3) in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Health & Social Care or equivalent as well as prior experience of working within a criminal justice setting. For this post, you must have experience and understanding of resettlement, and the social needs of individuals leaving prison - including housing, employment, healthcare etc. You must be able to demonstrate working with partnership agencies in a productive manner and be able to work under pressure. An enhanced DBS is required for this position.
