Job description: A Housing Association based in Nottinghamshire is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team. This is a full permanent position and the successful candidate must have experience in a similar managerial role, a Degree level qualification or Chartered status in a relevant discipline covering Building or Construction and ideally previous experience in a Housing Association setting.

The main purpose of the role is to support the Assistant Director of Commercial Services in the
development and management of the project works team in the provision of an efficient, effective and economic service. This will be achieved through the formulation, development, implementation, co-ordination and monitoring of specialist projects throughout the city.

The main responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

To manage individual specialist projects including making informed decisions, assessing problems and the potential for improvements, and negotiating with project team members, elected members, senior management and other stakeholders including leaseholders.
To support project teams by helping with the co-ordination and input of all those involved in the design and implementation of Commercial and Capital projects and monitor including
architects, planners, quantity surveyors and outside agencies and actively engaging in all client design issues/sub contract elements of contracts, from pre-tender through to completion.
To plan, co-ordinate and develop consultation and publicity on Commercial and Capital projects ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are involved. Including carrying out operational
delivery with a focus on community involvement, including the delivery of local jobs and training opportunities.
To attend Company meetings, Client forums and community forums to represent the Company as directed.
To assess the problems and the potential for improvement and value engineering within identified target areas by undertaking research, consultation and liaison with stakeholders, including external agencies, Members, Area Committees and Government Departments
Monitor and report on operational issues, taking responsibility to identify solutions and deliver any remedial action needed to meet agreed key performance targets and support continuous improvement within the service area.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes/experience;

Demonstrable technical and practical experience of working in the construction sector including project management of schemes from inception to completion.
Experience of managing the delivery of building projects and project teams.
Experience of managing budgets.
Demonstrable experience of people management, including onsite contractors.
Proven track record of management experience in leading a high performing teams and successful project delivery.

The client is looking to move quickly in appointing to this position, as such is offering a very competitive annual salary of £40,760 - £43,662 (dependant on skills/qualifications) along with an excellent benefits package.
