Job description: My client, a Housing Association based in Manchester is looking for an Asset Project Manager to join their team. This is a full time, Permanent position.
The successful candidate will have a full UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle as travel throughout the borough is required. Also required is a related professional qualification in Building/Construction and relevant experience in the Construction field.

The main purpose of the role is to organise and support the work load of the Project Officers to ensure activities are carried out to a high standard and that all those working for or on behalf of the client adhere to the organisations service standards, consistently achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

Another main purpose of the role is to support the management of all asset functions and act as a key link between the team and the Investment and compliance teams.

The Asset Project Manager will be responsible for a "management portfolio," which they will lead for the client. The composition of the portfolios and the allocation of deliverable outcomes will be subject to regular review.

The main responsibilities of the role are outlined below;

To project manage the delivery of a portfolio of projects within cost, time, quality and other performance targets and maintain appropriate records.

Identify, manage, mitigate and report risks that may impact on the successful achievement of project timescales and objectives.

Define and scope projects and prepare and communicate project briefs to the project teams and manage the appointment and performance of external design, planning, cost consultants and building contractors.

Ensure that at all times we meet the needs and aspirations of our customers, and our aim to create sustainable communities.

To actively maintain allocated budgets, targets are maintained and up to date, monitoring and reporting on a weekly / monthly / annual basis as required.

To liaise on a regular basis with Neighbourhood and Home Ownership Teams, seeking their input where relevant to ensure this is used to influence the project delivery in a timely and appropriate manner.
