Job description: My client, a local authority based in West Yorkshire is looking for Project Officers to join their team. These are full time, temporary ongoing agency contracts and the successful candidates will have experience leading lower complexity projects and ideally experience with procurement/contract management.

The main purpose of the role is to work as part of a team providing a professional project management service to develop and deliver construction and repairs/maintenance projects.

There are two roles available, one supporting a range of planned works projects that are part of the Housing Capital Programme and one supporting a new project to re-procure the Responsive Repairs and Voids service contract.

The main responsibilities associated with the role are as follows;

Working closely in partnership with senior service managers who sponsor the projects and their teams
Liaising with technical experts, procurement experts and legal colleagues
Making sure that wider stakeholders including Elected Members and residents are appropriately engaged and part of communication plans.
Responsibility for leading lower complexity projects and/or work packages of complex projects
Using professional project management skills, tools, techniques and controls to manage and drive forward activity
Making sure that work progresses in line with policies and relevant legislation.
