Property Manager - London

Job description: My client, a local authority based in Central London is looking for a Property Manager/Building Surveyor to join their team. This is a full time, temporary role for an ongoing contract and the successful candidate will ideally be MRICS qualified with an appropriate professional qualification.

The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for the effective management of a property portfolio which includes administrative buildings, care homes, resource centres, libraries, sports centres, play centres, children centres and depots.

Some of the responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

To carry out regular building and condition inspections, organise and manage any necessary works as a result of these inspections.
To prepare reports and information to the Senior Property Manager for larger works and schemes that should be considered for capital funding.
To be directly responsible for managing relevant property related budgets and all aspects of their financial control, including construction forecasts and profile spend.
To be responsible for managing contractors on site, to include provision of security services, grounds maintenance, CCTV, pest control etc, and to ensure a high quality of work, customer satisfaction and all health & safety legislation is considered and adhered to.

Along with these duties there will be a number of other related duties that the successful candidate will be required to undertake as and when asked.
