Job description: Property Surveyor required ASAP based in Oxford.

This role is on an ongoing contract.

To co-ordinate risk assessments for fire, asbestos, legionella and other property related operations and manage identified risks and associated risk registers, liaising with other officers as required to reduce and / or eliminate risks, and to produce proposals and reports as required.

Project manage contractors carrying out maintenance or inspection works or works recommended following assessments, tests or inspections and liaise with other officers (internal and external) as required to reduce and / or eliminate risks in accordance with compliance timescales. Produce proposals and reports as required. Liaise with and manage Consultant support to assist in the development of projects. Set delivery expectations and manage budget.

Carry out project management including liaison and consultation to develop and manage systems for monitoring property-related health and safety information and report on, and manage, compliance.

To provide an audit role to ensure that health and safety issues that are the responsibility of, or are carried out by, others on the Council's properties are completed, up-to-date and recorded to ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and good practice.

Liaise with tenants and building occupiers to identify and assist them to implement all property related health and safety matters for which they are responsible, and to audit and record the outcome of these into a centralised record system.

Providing design, technical and procurement advice and support to the Council's front line services on construction related health and safety issues including brief and design development, options appraisals, feasibility studies, procurement options, quality control, health and safety etc.

To act as CDM client on City Council projects and ensure Client duties are discharged, preparing preconstruction information when required.

To assist with health and safety issues for the design and supervision of programmes of planned and cyclical maintenance of property for which the Service Area has responsibility.

Preparation of appropriate surveys, inspections, specifications, drawings and reports as required.
