Job description: Psychiatric Liaison, Band 6. Redhill.

Vacancy working as a Psychiatric Liaison at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill.

An experienced CPN is needed to join a busy team providing front-line mental health assessments for patients referred by the general hospital from the Emergency Department and all the medical wards. They will provide services for users from age 18 years to end of life.
The Post Holder will act as care co - coordinator, where appropriate to patients who require the skills of a Mental Health nurse, and provide a holistic, clinical, autonomous nursing service, to enable individuals to engage in the best standards of care available.

The candidate will support Primary Care in management of patients presenting with mental health illness by offering assessment, nurse diagnosis and treatment options also liaising with Primary Care professionals, through regular informal and formal meetings

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage their own caseload, and to be able to produce complex care plans that can be used to aid patient recovery. The ability to work autonomously and under pressure is essential.

The role is to commence ASAP. The role is a full time, NHS contract, with a variety of shift patterns available, including long days and nights.
The rate of pay for this role is:
Monday - Friday daytime hours £25 p/h ltd
Saturdays and Nights £29 p/h ltd
Sundays and Bank holidays £33 p/h ltd.

Candidates must be a qualified RMN with a valid NMC Pin. Experience working in a crisis resolution and /or Liaison team is crucial.

An enhanced DBS check is essential.
