Job description: Psychologist, Band 7/8a. Hemel Hempstead.

Vacancy working as a psychological practitioner in the community, West Hertfordshire.

A senior PWP is needed to fill a post within the multi-disciplinary community mental health team, which is a secondary care service including both local and area wide services.

The successful applicant will be a Clinical Practitioner or Counselling Psychologist with clearly demonstrable skills and knowledge in working with people throughout the adult age range. The candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of working with a number of different client groups in secondary mental health settings and of having been responsible for providing specialist assessments and interventions. You will need to be able to demonstrate clinical leadership, and innovations that have improved services in which you have worked.

The candidate must be a qualified RMN with a valid NMC Pin, and a knowledge of West Hertfordshire would be beneficial, with access to a vehicle essential.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage their own caseload, and to be able to produce complex care plans that can be used to aid patient recovery. The ability to work autonomously and under pressure is essential.

The role is full-time, working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm initially on a three month contract, with scope for continuation.
The hourly rate is £29-£34 p/h.
