Job description: Quality Assurance Improvement Officer for Devon County Council, £18.63 ltd an hour (negotiable).

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- 3 contract
Hours per week - 37 hours
Pay rate - £18.63 ltd an hour (negotiable)
Team - Children's Services, Children's Commissioning
Location - Exeter

Description
*To implement quality assurance frameworks for children's services, for externally commissioned services. You will work in collaboration with colleagues from a range of partners and agencies.
*To work closely with social care colleagues to positively effect and impact the outcomes for children and the service through quality oversight and development including working to improve sufficiency for services locally.
*To actively promote and facilitate the continuous improvement of quality and performance for services provided to children within Devon. To support the development of quality standards and approaches for sector-led improvement, coordinating all provider involvement and will demonstrate an excellent knowledge of safeguarding throughout
*To support the development and production of qualitative and quantitative data to inform risk profiling, service prioritisation and reporting/analysis, linking with colleagues across children's services in developing our strategies, service planning and contract monitoring.
*To undertake quality assessments through site visit and policy assessment as well as specific investigations as required, including the compliance of services with standards regulated and inspected by Ofsted and Care Quality Commission

What is required?
*Experience of directing and co-ordinating project groups and task-oriented teams
*Skills in group management and as meeting chair
*Experience of managing regulated procedures and processes
*Relevant experience at a professional or management level in a social care or health environment
*Experience of quality assurance
*Use of technology required to fulfil obligations of the job
*Degree in relevant field or equivalent level of knowledge/skills/training gained via practical experience of management within a health or social care setting, or inspection/quality management function
