Job description: Receptionist - Downpatrick

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist to work in a local leisure centre in Downpatrick for the local council.

What you'll do,
1. Provide a full range of receptionist/telephonist services and control admission, ensuring a high standard of customer service that meets the requirements of the QUEST quality system.

2. Deal with customer complaints and difficult issues, resolving these where possible or escalating them in accordance with agreed procedures.

3. Respond to the swimming pool panic alarm and liaise with the emergency services as required.

4. Keep regular checks on security monitors

5. Process cash, card and cheque transactions, maintain payment records and prepare lodgements as required.

6. Implement the systems for bookings, membership, lodgements and petty cash floats. To reconcile daily cash takings from all sources within the centre.

7. Be responsible for shop sales and sports equipment hire, assist with stock control and order preparation.

8. Liaise with other staff on specific booking requirements and/or cancellations.

9. Assist in the promotion of the service through ensuring the display and upkeep of promotional literature, price-lists, notice boards etc.

10. Provide a word-processing service including drafting and word processing letters.



You must have;
*6 months experience in a customer facing role e.g. reception, front of house, customer service
* Competence in the use of Microsoft Office or similar operating systems
* Good oral communication & interpersonal skills
* Ability to work as part of a team


Working hours will be Monday - Wednesday. 1pm - 6pm
