Service Care Solutions are working with an established client to recruit a Recovery Worker in Leicestershire area.

The Role:

Hours: 37.5 hours
Days: Days may vary, shift patterns include Day, Early & Late, Sleep-In
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £16,206 with progression to £16,728
Location: Leicestershire

A Recovery Worker will provide one-to-one support to individuals with mental health issues, helping them overcome any difficulties during their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

*Support service users in the development of emotional management skills, personal and life skills with the aim of attaining greater independence and self esteem.
*Develop domestic management and finance management skills with service users in order to allow increased and improved access to support from this and other services.
*Participate in group work programme to assist service users to deal with substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, unemployment, or physical abuse.
*Participate in the weekly rota system and provide on call duties to the service users at evenings and at weekends if required.
*Positively promote the service at all times, including participating in community education initiatives, raising awareness of therapeutic community aims and objectives and taking part in activities designed specifically to publicise the service.

*Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the Service and Service Users.
*A good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect the client group.
*NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
*UK Driving License with access to own transport
