Job description: Registered Children's Home Manager needed for Portsmouth City Council, £24 ltd an hour

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- 3 months initially
Hours per week - 37
Pay rate - £24 ltd an hour
Team - Children's Care Home

*3 bedroom residential home for young people aged 8-14, accommodating both male and female residents on a planned admission basis.
*You will manage an experienced staff team of 11 (including an administrator) working closely with Education, Health and other agencies.
*You will work closely with the social work teams to ensure effective planning for children.
*Quality assure contracts delivered by external providers
*Effectively manager budgets
*Oversee safeguarding, health and safety, professional boundaries, staff development
*Undertake quality audits and complete Reg 45 reports.

What is required?
*Diploma in Social Work and registration with the Health & Care Professions Council
*Strong proven background of working with children in residential care
*Experience of restorative approaches in managing behavioural support
*Experience of managing and supervising a team of staff supporting children
*Ability to manage the assessment and review of all young people accommodated at the Unit.
