Registered General Nurse

Job description: Several Band 5 RGN's required at Royal Lancaster Infirmary working on either a Surgery and Critical Care ward or a Medicine ward.

These roles are available for a mixture of days, nights and weekends.

Your main duties and responsivities will include the following:
-Provide and monitor the nursing care for a designated group of patients during a care episode.
-Support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
-Support the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse in ensuring the delivery of high quality patient care.
-Actively contribute to an effective learning environment
-To administer patient medication according to Trust Policy

You MUST have:
-At least 12 months previous nursing experience
-A degree or equivalent in nursing
-An up to date NMC registration
-A thorough understanding of policies and guidance related to for example: infection control, hygiene and individualised patient needs.
