Registered Manager Children's Home - Bramley House

Full Time, 40 hours. Permanent' subject to probation & successful Ofsted registration
£30.000-£40.000 dependent on experience and qualifications

30 days per annum

Responsible Individual, Directors.
Home size:
Provision for 3 young people ages 10-18, non-gender specific.

This is a new provision.

The successful candidate will be required to submit an application as part of the registration process for this home in June/July 2020.
Anticipated start date September/October 2020
This job description is provided to assist the post holder to understand what the main duties are. The position of Registered manager is varied and a developing role, therefore the successful applicant will need to be able to adapt and meet demand, as no job description would be able to describe every eventuality. This description may be changed or amended to meet demand, responsibility that is appropriate to the grade of this remit.
Main Purpose(s) of the job:
To become the Ofsted Registered Manager for Bramley House, deliver services which are fully compliant with the legislative and regulatory requirements particularly The Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015 and other frameworks that govern practice.
Be responsible for the effective development and delivery of high-quality residential services to all young people placed in our care and meeting the individual identified needs as per placement plan.
To lead, manage and develop a cohesive staff team, ensuring that team members work effectively and in partnership with all young people, families as appropriate and all internal and external agencies and professionals.
To carry out their statutory duties as determined, principally in relevant childcare legislation, children's homes regulations and standards.
To ensure that all services are planned and delivered in a way that maximizes participation and reflects children's rights in relation to services being provided.

▪ The Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015
▪ Children Act 2004, Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation
▪ Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018
▪ The Homes Statement of Purpose
▪ The Code of Conduct and Behavior and relevant policies
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that all child protection policies are adhered to and concerns are raised in accordance with these policies.
