Job description: A North West London based council are recruiting for a Rent Service Officer based in Camden, to work within a busy Rent Service Team with aim of maximising rent and arrears collection. Provide an in depth knowledge and understanding of the legal aspects of housing management, rent arrears collection methods and Northgate Ability.

The Role
Your key duties within the role will include:
-maximise rent and arrears collection by effectively managing a designated 'patch' of residential and non-residential accounts, ensuring the strict adherence of the pre court action protocol at all times
-strive to meet collection targets in a challenging economic, social and political environment, whilst responding to the needs of vulnerable residents by providing advice and making the appropriate referrals to support agencies
-seek out and identify "good practice" for arrears recovery that can be implemented within the team
The Candidate
-Housing management experience
-Computer literate and numerically proficient
-Advanced ability to use Northgate and other office software packages
The Contract
This is a contact starting 21st January up to 31st March 2019, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
