Job description: Are you interested in helping to rehabilitate offenders?

Are you passionate about supporting ex-offenders to fulfil their potential and have positive and brighter future where they can contribute positively to society?

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, innovative and understanding individuals to join a Resettlement service in North London on a full-time basis. The role will be a 1 year Fixed-Term contract, with the possibility of renewal.

In the role you will be expected to provide support and resettlement services to those who have previously committed offences. You will be working in partnership with prisons, the probation services, local authorities and external agencies to ensure Service Users are given a comprehensive support plan and assistance to ensure they do not re-offend when they are released back into the community. Your duties will include interviewing and assessing Service Users, completing risk assessments and tailoring support plans, as well as attending 3-way meetings as necessary.

You will work with Service Users 12 weeks prior to release and will work with them on their resettlement programme, helping to deliver a service that addresses all resettlement needs including issues relating to accommodation, health, employment, finance and debt. You will also be expected to visit managed properties and report any repairs or renewals to the maintenance team.

To be successful in your application, you must have prior experience of working in a Criminal Justice or Social Care setting, working with vulnerable individuals who may have mental health, substance misuse issues, or challenging behaviours. You must also have experience of working in a support capacity, which enables reintegration into the community. Prior experience working within a resettlement team is advantageous but not essential. An enhanced DBS is required for this position.

Benefits of working for our client include:
-The opportunity to help rehabilitate offenders
-Flexible and agile working
-Experience of working in partnership with prisons/probation and local authorities.
-Generous annual leave allowance; increasing with each year of service (Annual Leave runs from April-March)

If this sounds like a place you'd like to work, and you feel your experience is suited to this post, then please apply now, or get in touch with Natasha @ Service Care Solutions for more information.
