Job Advert – Residential Support Workers (x2)
Location: Bolton
Department: Children’s Services
 

We are currently seeking two dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our Children’s Services team.

As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting children and young people within a residential care setting—ensuring their safety, development, and well-being are always at the heart of what you do.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Providing day-to-day practical and emotional support to young people

  • Acting as a key worker and formulating, implementing, and reviewing individual care plans

  • Assisting service users with behavioural challenges and personal development

  • Supporting transitions, including preparing young people to move on from care

  • Ensuring medication is administered safely and appropriately

  • Promoting positive relationships and safeguarding the welfare of all children in your care

  • Maintaining accurate records, attending case conferences, and working in partnership with families

What We’re Looking For:
  • Essential Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification

  • Experience working with vulnerable children or young people

  • A caring, resilient, and team-oriented individual who can maintain professional boundaries and provide consistent care

  • Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, as required
