We are currently seeking two dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our Children’s Services team.
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting children and young people within a residential care setting—ensuring their safety, development, and well-being are always at the heart of what you do.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing day-to-day practical and emotional support to young people
- Acting as a key worker and formulating, implementing, and reviewing individual care plans
- Assisting service users with behavioural challenges and personal development
- Supporting transitions, including preparing young people to move on from care
- Ensuring medication is administered safely and appropriately
- Promoting positive relationships and safeguarding the welfare of all children in your care
- Maintaining accurate records, attending case conferences, and working in partnership with families
- Essential Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification
- Experience working with vulnerable children or young people
- A caring, resilient, and team-oriented individual who can maintain professional boundaries and provide consistent care
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, as required
