Job description: Residential Support Worker needed for Devon County Council, up to £25 ltd an hour depending on experience

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- 3 months initially
Hours per week - Shifts on a rolling rota (7.15 - 15.15) and (14.15 - 10.15) which includes working every other weekend
Pay rate - up to £25 ltd an hour depending on experience
Location - Exeter

Description
We provide secure accommodation for young people in therapeutic, non-punitive restorative environment. We support young people to understand, manage and regulate their emotions, enabling them to positively re-integrate into a community setting.
We achieve this by supporting young people to meet their individual care, education and health needs.
On each shift there will be a minimum of 6 care staff, a team leader and duty manager.
*Sleep in duties are a requirement and are recorded on the rota so you will know when this is expected
*You will need to complete Managing Violence and Aggression (MVA) training which is a 3-day course.
*To provide a safe, caring, stimulating and secure environment for children and young people who have experience significant trauma and need to be secured because they are at risk to themselves or others
*To carry out observations, assessments and provide information to the case co-ordinators so reports can be produced for reviews and secure criteria meeting
What is required?
*Willing to obtain a level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or other relevant qualification
*GCSE D or above in English
*Must have a minimum of 1 year's children residential experience or have substantial experience of working in challenging behavioural settings.
