Job description: One of the UKs largest housing associations is recruiting for a Scheme Manager to cover a number of their housing schemes for the over 55s across Swale, providing an effective housing management and support service to older residents

The Services
This Scheme Manager vacancy is responsible for carrying out a housing management service across a number of schemes for the over 55s, including standard sheltered housing, as well as Extra Care. The schemes are spread across the Swale area, including:
*Faversham - one scheme
*Isle of Sheppey - two schemes
*Sittingbourne - five schemes
As well as potentially having to cover another two in Rochester.

The Role
The focus of this Scheme Manager role is to provide an effective housing management and support service to older residents. This Scheme Manager role will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
*Daily register calls to all residents to ensure they respond
*Handling housing management issues, such as repairs, tenancy, health and safety, completion of forms
*Carrying out weekly fire alarm tests
*Deliver an effective customer focused housing management and support service, working with multi-agency partners
*Actively promote and encourage resident involvement and participation, in liaison with other teams as required.
*Maintain Health and Safety requirements in accordance with Health and Safety policies and site-specific risk assessments.
*Maintain administration systems and databases, processes and accurate records and provide monthly performance reports and information for other reports, as required
*Assist the income management team in ensuring rental and service charge income is maximised and recovered.

The Candidate
To be considered for this Scheme Manager role, it is essential that you have previous experience within housing or scheme management. As these services are all catering for the over 55s, previous experience with the age group and related support requirements, such as dementia, will be highly beneficial to your application. The role will mostly be lone working, so you will be provided with a SkyGuard, but must be confident in working on your own.
As the Scheme Manager role covers a large area and a number of schemes, it is essential that you have a clean driving license and access to a vehicle for work.
In this Scheme Manager role, you will be working in a service with vulnerable service users, you will also require a DBS to be processed. If you have an existing, clean DBS on the Update Service, this will be beneficial to your application.

The Contract
This is a full time Scheme Manager role, working 9:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday. The contract is temporary, running for a minimum of three months, but has a strong chance of being extended.
