Job description: I am currently recruiting for a Scheme Services Coordinator based in Brighton. This is a 25 hour week 6 month fixed term contract. Salary of £18,000 pro rata.

We are looking for a caring, organised person who is committed to supporting older people living in the sheltered housing schemes to help them prepare for the day ahead whatever it may hold. We can offer you a workplace where each day leaves you feeling inspired and fulfilled.

You will be working over 5 days, Monday to Friday, you will need to be an excellent communicator, organiser and team player with good administration skills; ideally you should have experience of coordinating and providing customer focused services within a housing or related community setting. It is an essential that you have a strong understanding of the diverse needs of the elderly.

You will have daily contact with residents, contractors and colleagues to coordinate and deliver services. This will include inspecting properties, supporting residents, ensuring the scheme is safe and secure and assisting with lettings. You will also have a big part to play in promoting and organising resident projects and activities. You will give a great service that makes our sheltered housing schemes pleasant and safe places to live.

Areas of responsibility include:

*Ensuring that the sheltered housing scheme is well run and that the building is safe and secure for residents
*Provide basic tenancy advice and services to customers signposting to relevant individuals where necessary for resolution, including low level rent and ASB issues
*Referring residents to specialist agencies for additional support where there is a well-being concern
*Facilitate letting our empty homes by arranging and supervising viewings
*Lead on health and safety matters within the scheme
*Ensuring repairs and faults are quickly remedied
*Ensuring a range of contractors deliver a high standard
*Work with internal and external colleagues with regards to the appropriate delivery of volunteer support and wellbeing services
*Assist with the facilitation of community involvement initiatives and social events to support social inclusion
*Supervising and overseeing cleaning and laundry staff and services as appropriate
