Job description: SEN Team Manager, Central London, Kensington and Chelsea

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an SEN Team Manager to work in The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

This is to work Full Time and is to start ASAP on an 8 month + contract.

Pay rates are negotiable depending on experience.

Duties as an SEN Team Manager:

This role will lead a team, which includes a Senior Practitioner, SEN Keyworkers and Case Officers in regards to the management of complex caseloads. Duties will include:
*Ensure that casework is legally compliant whilst remaining child centred, pro-active and responsive to the needs of children and young people and paying due regard to the views of parents
*Proactively keep up to date with SEND legislations and guidance and be able to identify and understand the key changes required to processes to fulfil the legislation and related guidance.
*Manage relationships with families, head teachers and SENCOs, inclusion staff, social workers, health and other relevant agencies effectively to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people under the relevant circumstances.
*Develop, consolidate and improve an area of specialism related and relevant to the current SEN context for the benefit of the service.

Requirements for this SEND Team Manager role:
*Enhanced DBS
*Extensive Knowledge of the Education Act 1996 with regard to SEN and associated regulations and the SEN Code of Practice (2001); the Children & Families Act (2014) and the national policy context.
*Previous management experience
