Job description: Service Care Solutions are looking for a Senior Digital Forensic Specialist, to work as a Cell Site Analysis with the local police force. The role will be based in Lambeth, London.

Role Description
The role holder will be part of a team working to the Senior Technical Manager to undertake the radio frequency surveys for evidential and intelligence purposes. This will entail the production of expert reports and statements, the presentation of expert evidence in court; and advising investigating officers on Cell Site and related aspects of their case. The role holder will need to coordinate radio frequency technicians (when appointed) and work with MPS analysts in the production of maps and schedules.

Other aspects of the role will be to write and implement procedures and ensure compliance with primary legislation, codes of practice and Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) policy.

You will have strong judgment and leadership qualities and the ability to work alone and as part of a team. You will also be able to make decisions and express yourself clearly, both in written evidential reports and in giving witness testimony at court or advice in case conferences.

Key Responsibilities:
Examine, interpret and give opinion on call data records and RF survey data.

Review the associated communications data and advise investigators and colleagues, giving guidance on the examination of digital data.

Preparing evidential maps, reports and statements for court and attending court as an factual / expert witness as required.

Working with MPS analysts in the preparation of maps and schedules.

Liaising with Investigators, Senior Investigators and CPS as required.

Research & Development in identifying new threats and emerging applications, devices, communication methods and security systems relevant to the field of Cell Site Analysis.

Conducting Validation and Verification studies.

Writing and implementing procedures.

Contributing to the Quality Management System.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Technical degree or significant relevant experience (perhaps gained in a communications company or in a similar forensic discipline)

Working knowledge of Cell Site related systems and Radio Frequency propagation.

Working knowledge of modern radio-based communication systems including cellular networks (GSM, UMTS), VOLTE, and WiFi; and the equipment and tools needed to collect, analyse and process RF data there from.
Extensive general digital forensic engineering background or considerable experience in similar forensic discipline.
Strong analytical skills.

Ability to present and explain technical data to a non technical audience.

High degree of attention to detail.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Knowledge and experience of working within and producing procedures in a quality management system such as ISO 17025.

Experience of having collected, interpreted and presented data to customers from a non technical background.

Experience with a communications service provider or similar discipline
