Job description: My Client, a digital agency who deal with augmented reality products, are looking for a Senior Front End Developer on a permanent basis in Manchester.

My client are needing a senior/lead front end developer to help deliver groundbreaking products over a number of ongoing and new projects. My client work with many large brands, tech companies and retailers, delivering groundbreaking augmented reality products. They are looking for someone who is able to undertake a variety of tasks and is motivated by learning new skills to solve problems as they arise. You should be just as happy specking a new REST API endpoint, as talking to customers to discover their current requirements.

Candidates should be happy understanding and solving problems across the different layers of my clients technology stack. You will be working closely with teams across the company, so effective communication skills are essential.

As the lead developer, you should be comfortable leading and mentoring a team of developers, managing the quality of the code and implementing agile processes, tools and workflows to ensure developers are working as efficiently as possible.

Skill set:

* Experience with vanilla JavaScript
* Understanding of W3C standards
* Coding best practices and CSS preprocessors (SASS).
* Experience with NodeJs as a build tool, and the usage of Node based applications such as Gulp, Webpack and Babel.
* Unit and functional testing are second nature to you.
* An appreciation of Object Oriented programming principles and / or functional programming techniques.
* Experience building a large project with a modern JavaScript framework (e.g. React, Angular).
* Skilled in creating solid, clean, hand-coded HTML and CSS.
* Experience of managing a team of highly-skilled developers in a commercial setting.

Desirable:

* Advanced knowledge of CSS animation based features (keyframes, transitions etc.)
* Experience using TypeScript and Angular 2.
* Experience working in a continuous deployment environment.
