Job description: Senior Housing Officer, Coalville
A local authority are recruiting for a Senior Housing Officer with experience of Rent Arrears, ASB, Allocations, Tenancy and Estate management, to cover a patch in Coalville, Leicestershire.

The Role
The focus of the role is to provide a generic housing management service to a large patch in Leicestershire. In the role you will have the following core responsibilities:
*To monitor the performance of staff and report regularly against set targets and objectives detailed in the Team Business Plan.
*To maximise income through effective rent account monitoring, enforcement action and prompt allocation of Council properties.
*To develop services that create tangible improvements in neighbourhoods.
*To improve and embed resident involvement in the Housing service and lead the Housing Management working group in addition to participating in other working groups where necessary.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require at least 2 years Housing Management experience with a social housing provider which includes experience Rent Arrears, ASB, Allocations, Tenancy and Estate management. The following skills and experience will also be highly beneficial:
*Experience of monitoring rent accounts and taking appropriate legal action
*Experience of joint agency work in service delivery
*Experience of case management of anti- social behaviour complaints and taking appropriate legal action
*Ability to access a range of properties to complete inspections and interviews
*Dealing with the public face to face in potentially difficult situations

The Contract
This is a temporary contract, running until mid-January, though there is a good chance this will be extended. The role is full time, working 36.25 hours per week.
