Job description: I am currently recruiting a Senior Income officer in the Basildon area of Essex, this is a PT position working 20hrs a week


The main purpose of this role it to deliver a responsive income management service to residents and support the housing teams in delivering tenancy and leasehold management providing advice and support to residents to ensure tenancies are sustained.

To deliver a proactive front line service to residents focusing on resident involvement and engagement, income management, supporting vulnerable residents, providing customer service and access, tenancy enforcement, income checks and providing advice and support as required.

Some of the main duties include


*Monitor and control rents and service charge arrears and take appropriate, early, action to ensure that loss of income is kept to a minimum and that rent arrears performance meets agreed targets.
*To ensure that residents are given accurate Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits advice (signposting as necessary) to assist them in maximising their income.
*Monitor and recover former tenant arrears and other tenancy related debt owed to the Association.
*To monitor and manage all debt accounts on a regular basis, taking action to recover unpaid charges from residents using a customer focused approach.
*Assist with the identification, investigation and resolution of benefit problems.
