Job description: Senior Practitioner - Safeguarding and Support Team - Haringey Council
Service Care Solutions are looking for a Senior Practitioner to join the Children's Social Care Sector at Haringey Council. The successful post holder will need to be a resilient and authoritative practitioner who places children and young people and their welfare at the heart of their practice. This is a permanent position.

SALARY - £42,684 - £45,585
CONTRACT - Permanent
CLOSING DATE - Monday 22nd June (Haringey reserve the right to close application before the advertised date if sufficient numbers of applications have been received, so early application is advised)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
*At least 3 years PQE in children's services, especially in the areas of safeguarding and child protection
*Recognised Social Work Qualification
*SWE Registration
*Experience in court work and working with children in care proceedings
*Evidence of good quality practice, consistent with the notions of authoritative practice

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
*Understanding of the Assessment Framework within the context of high quality social work practice
*Ability to support a culture of professional and multi-agency learning and development
*Ability to present confidently and clearly both verbally and in writing, with acknowledgement of the intended audience
*Working collaboratively with other services and external partners to deliver successful outcomes
*To maintain accurate and up to date electronic case records in line with Departmental policies and procedures and contribute to the continued development of the data base
*To model high quality professional behaviour and to develop and promote notions of authoritative practice within the service
*To progress children's plans in accordance with current local protocols, this may include writing statements within timescales, giving evidence on behalf of the local authority in Family Proceedings Court and any other court within the family division as required
