Job description: Senior Project Manager needed for Worcestershire County Council, £212 ltd per day

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- 3 months (chance of extension)
Hours per week - 35
Pay rate - £212 ltd per day

Job Description
*To work within the Strategic Change Team to identify lead and manage change projects and programmes to PRINCE2 and MSP standards across Directorates and partner agencies as a result of which those involved with the project see the team as a positive contributor to success.
*To lead and supervise the work of Project Teams (including any inter-agency teams) comprising operational staff, staff from other organisations, agencies or advisors, support staff and internal and external partners to meet the overall objectives of the projects.
*To produce and manage relevant documentation and project plans including accurate costed resource planning, and to be responsible for budget management within the project.
*To ensure that projects deliver to Time, Cost, and Quality and ensure that benefits are realised in line with the Business Case, ensuring projects are handed over once complete.
*To lead changes of culture and approach with regards to business change projects using relevant techniques to deliver sustainable change and make a positive contribution to the Corporate Strategy.
*To operate the established governance arrangements within projects and ensure that key information is presented and decisions sought from the appropriate body at the appropriate time.
Experience Required
*Substantial experience of large project, programme and change management activity within a complex organisation.
*Substantial experience of managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver business outcomes
*Evidence of further professional development, within a relevant area such a change management, or able to show relevant experience
*Considerable knowledge of developing commercial partnerships and commissioning
*A successful track record and substantial background of consistent achievement as a leader including evidence of a clear understanding of quality standards, change strategies and effective service provision in a senior role
*A successful record of exploiting new opportunities, proactively managing change to achieve output related change, with an outward customer and community focus.
*Significant record of success in managing and achieving sustainable change and improvements, sometimes in challenging circumstances, with the ability to translate strategic objectives into clear delivery plans.
*Substantial experience in managing significant budgets, resources and contracts.
*Substantial experience in developing fully costed resource plans
*Substantial successful people management and leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to motivate, challenge, support and develop individuals and teams to deliver complex outcomes.
*Recognised project management qualification, e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, RICS Dip. Project
*A degree/NVQ5 or equivalent level qualification
