Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Senior Property & Regeneration Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further details regarding this opportunity.
ROLE: Senior Property & Regeneration Lawyer
LOCATION: London
CONTRACT: 6 months potentially ongoing
RATE: £45-55ph DOE
The Role
- To manage a full caseload of complex legal worked predominantly related to Property & Regeneration work
- Matters will include Commercial Property, Regeneration projects, Joint Ventures, CPO's and managing assets portfolio
To appear on behalf of the Council and other external clients at the Magistrates' Court, County Court, Tribunals and Inquiries as required - To directly manage up to 6 staff and 15 staff indirectly
The Person
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 5 years' PQE
- A track record of providing legal advice and support at a senior level in the subject area of Regeneration & Property is essential
- Previous local authority / public sector working experience would be highly beneficial for this role
- Experience of previous management of legal staff within a property/regeneration team would be highly desirable
