Job description: We are currently working on behalf of the London Borough of Barking And Dagenham to assist in recruiting a Senior Social Worker to join their MASH Team

We are looking for experienced social workers for our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team.

About the team.

The MASH brings together a range of statutory and non-statutory resources involved in safeguarding the welfare of children in the borough. We work together to provide the highest level of knowledge and analysis - ensuring that activity and intervention is timely, proportionate and necessary.

You will be responsible for delivering social work support to children and their families, managing complex family proceedings and children at risk. You'll formulate high quality care plans and ensure that health and education needs are met, working to the highest professional standard. You'll be a team player too - working with colleagues in a range of disciplines, sharing knowledge, and providing support and advice to deliver the best possible outcomes for local children and their families.

In return, we will give you the time and support you need to make a difference. We are driving down caseloads and investing heavily in better IT and mobile working technology to help staff spend more quality time doing what matters.

Salary and Benefits.
LBBD offers a £5,000 Welcome payment with your first salary payment and £15,000 commitment payment on your 3rd Year anniversary in post. (to qualified social workers with more than one year post qualifying experience). This bonus is subject to conditions. Other benefits include 27-30 days of annual leave and affordable housing scheme in addition to a relocation package of £7,500. and unlimited investment into training for you to progress and grow your career as a Social Work








Requirements
*a degree or masters in Social Work (or any other recognised equivalent qualification)
*2+ years' experience in Children and Families Social Work and managerial level.
*HCPC registration
