Job description: The Role:

This role is suitable for someone with either a Social Work degree or a degree related to Youth Justice in combination with a YJEPC. The role is located in Cheshire West and is on a 3 month, full time basis.

As a Senior Youth Offending Officer, you will be responsible for the end to end case management of young people who are subject to Court Orders. This will involve working with the young people on both a one-to-one and group basis in order to effectively address their offending behaviour and prevent/reduce any re-offending. Further to this, you will also be responsible for writing and delivering reports for Courts and Referral Order Panels.


In order to be considered for this role you must have either be a Qualified Social Worker, or a qualified Probation Officer. You may also be considered for this role if you possess a degree level qualification in a relevant subject in combination with a Youth Justice Effective Practice Certificate. In addition, you must also have prior professional experience of working with Young People within a criminal justice environment, along with experience completing comprehensive ASSET PLUS assessments. This role will involve travelling to various bases so a full valid driving license is essential.
